Homelessness Prevention
Bucks County Housing Link Information
Agencies in Bucks County have started a program called the Bucks County Housing Link. Anyone in Bucks County facing imminent homelessness should call the hotline at 1-800-810-4434 where they will take a brief intake survey. A social worker will then contact the person and do a more thorough interview which should result in the person being matched to appropriate housing services. The Synergy Project
Pennridge FISH is glad to recommend the Synergy Project, a wonderful street outreach program of Valley Youth House intended for youthages 12-21.
They offer assistance to runaways, homeless, nomadic and street youth. Synergy Project workers and volunteers can offer survival supplies (food, clothes, hygienic products, sleeping bags, tents, tarps, etc.); peer support; information & referral services; and assistance to get off the streets, if desired. Youth do not have to give their names, and there are no strings to receiving help. The street outreach cell number is 215-990-3962. You can also learn more about them on FaceBook at https://www.facebook.com/synrgyprjct Valley Youth House Shelter may be reached 24 hours a day by calling 215-442-9760.
